Update 1.21.30
A new update is here! 1.21.30 is the newest update as of 2025 Jan.2 and has lots of added features!
To begin a big one is the new biome called the pale forest. The most noticeable thing in the biome is the new trees called pale oak. These trees can sometimes contain creaking hearts in their trunks and we will get into that later. The tree produces planks an the rest of the regular wood products.
The creaking heart sometimes spawns in inside the pale oak tree and look like this:
The creaking heart activates at night and when it does a creaking spawns. A naturally spawned creaking is immune to all attacks. This hostile mob will attack players, only if no players are looking at it (this excludes creative and spectator modes.) If you break the creaking heart that spawned it, it will instantly die
If you hurt a protected creaking it will spawn resin clump blocks around the heart. If you mine them you will get the block. Crafting the block into resin clumps and smelting them produces the resin brick. The brick can then be crafted into the resin family.
You can craft a creaking heart with two pale oak logs and a block of resin as shown in the picture below:
