Pets in Minecraft

There are some pets to choose from, such as a dog, cat and parrots.

All pets will sit and follow you around.

Here are more info about these pets:

What: Dog

How to tame: Find a wolf and get bones. Then right click on the wolf holding a bone. The wolf should now have a red collar. If you right click on the dog with no bones, it should sit. Right click to un-sit your dog.

*Note: It may take more than one bone to tame your wolf.

Notes:

To change the color of its collar, get a dye of your choice and right click on the dog.

Your dog will help you in battle. Once you hit a mob once, your dog will start attacking.

If your dog is not sitting, and you are far enough away, it will teleport to you. If your dog is sitting, it won't.

What: Cat

How to tame: Find a cat and get raw fish of any type. Then right click on the cat holding the raw fish. The cat should now have a red collar. If you right click on the cat with no raw fish, it should sit. Right click to un-sit your cat.

*Note: It may take more than one raw fish to tame your cat.

Notes:

What: Parrot

How to tame: Find a parrot and get seeds. Then right click on the parrot holding a seed. If you right click on the parrot with no seeds, it should sit. Right click to un-sit your parrot.

*Note: It may take more than one seed to tame your parrot.

Notes:

Parrots may be different colors, such as blue, rainbow, white, yellow, green, and light blue.

If your parrot is not sitting, and you are far enough away, it will teleport to you. If your parrot is sitting, it won't.

Never feed your parrot a cookie. It will kill them instantly.
