Mobs in the Nether

The Nether is a dangerous place. There are mobs that could kill you, lurking around each corner. But there are also mobs that help you.

Some of the mobs in the Nether include:

• Piglins- They carry swords, but make sure you are wearing some piece of gold armor. They will attack you if not. You can trade gold with them, and they will give you special, rare items.

• Piglin Brutes- Unlike Piglins, they carry axes (which are more powerful than swords in Java), and will attack you no matter what. Their clothing looks darker, with a gold belt.

• Ghasts- They look like giant, white octopuses that fly. They shoot flaming, fire charge balls. When Ghasts are shooting, their eyes would be red and their mouth would open to shoot. They also make a screeching sound when shooting. Bow and arrows work best for killing them, and a shield protects you from the fireballs.

• Blazes- They are orange/yellow in colour and have blaze rods spinning around them. When they shoot, fire will appear around them, for a bit, before they shoot. When you kill them, you get blaze rods, and can be crafted into blaze powder. Sword and shield works best for defeating them. They only spawn in Nether Fortresses.

• Wither Skeletons- They are just like skeletons; they look the same except black. But they do carry swords, and are stronger. If you get hit by one, you would get the wither effect and would get damaged until it stops. Your health bar will turn black/purple. They only spawn in Nether Fortresses.

• Magma Cube- They are cubes with glowing eyes and a brown body. Similar to slime cubes, they will jump on you to do damage. They will also break into smaller cubes. They are one of the easiest hostile mobs, that spawn only in the Nether, to kill.

• Hoglins- They look like boars in minecraft. Found in Crimson Forests, they can be a source of food in the Nether. But watch out! They are hostile mobs and will kill you. Make sure to pillar up 3 blocks before attacking.

• Striders- They are a helpful mob. They walk in lava, so if you want to find one look down into a pool of lava. You can also ride them. Place a saddle on it's back, get on, and hold warped fungus on a stick. Now you can walk on lava. When Striders are not in lava, they will shake, move slower, and turn dark purple.

• Zombified Piglin- They are a neutral mob in the Nether, meaning they won't attack you. But that also means that they will attack you if you attack them. But the thing about zombified piglins, is that if you attack one, all zombified piglins in a 60 block range will come and attack you too.
