When you enchant things, they give off a purple glow. You can enchant things like armor, combat, tools, certain items, and books. You enchant things for protection, strength, and all sorts of things!

Here is enchanted armor.

To enchant things, you need either an enchanting table, or an anvil. If you are in survival, here is how you can craft these items:

  • For an enchanting table - 1 book, 2 diamonds, 4 obsidian.
  • For an anvil - 3 iron blocks, 4 iron ingots.

Now you can start enchanting.

When you start enchanting, you can enchant many different things, like sweeping edge, protection, mending, and unbreaking. These will all give you different things.

Tip:

  • Whenever you are using the an enchanting table, you will need some lapis lazuli.
  • When making the enchanting table, put bookshelves near the enchanting table. The enchanting table will draw more power from the bookshelves.

When using an anvil, you can enchant nametags to put names on things.

Note:

  • If you use an anvil a lot, sometimes it does break! But you can always craft another one.
