Diary of a Minecrafter

Jan 4 2025

Dear Diary,

Today I played in Bedrock Edition, with some other friends. When I joined their world, they asked me to build a tree house and I gladly accepted. I mean, who wouldn't want another house?

I started on my house right away, with blue and yellow glazed terracotta, smooth white quartz, and glass pane. They had already picked out a tree for me, beside theirs and I started placing my quartz on top, creating a flat surface about 7 blocks, by 7 blocks. I soon starting placing my terracotta beneath, creating a cube, but it wasn't really what I was hoping for. I wanted my house to be modern and different, but instead it was a brick.

Frustrated, I broke everything, wanting to start over. I then picked other materials. I still wanted it to be modern and different, but maybe the terracotta was too much. Maybe honey blocks, pale oak planks, and glass would be more like a green house!

I restarted with a floor of pale oak and eventually placing glass around as a wall. Then, with pale oak planks I made a flat surface, but didn't like the look and changed it to a roof-style roof. It took some trial-and-error, but I eventually did it and it was very satisfactory.

On the inside, I placed some random honey blocks scattering on the roof and I placed a white bed in the corner and a honey block night stand. I also placed three honey blocks on the opposite side, across from my bed and placed some dandelions in flower pots. I added six large chests, but then decided to incorporate them into the wall of my house. (yes it is a great idea for storage) Lastly, I added a pale oak door beside the chests and a bridge from my place to my friends place.

Marcus made a secret base, that no one is allowed in, but him. He says it is underwater and hard to get into. I might risk my life trying.
