What are biomes?

Biomes are kind of like types of terrain in Minecraft. Each biome has different stuff.

Say for example the jungle biome has parrots, bamboo, melons, and ocelots that spawn/grow naturally. Or the acacia biome, which has lots of acacia trees, grass (yellow), and lots of mountains (great for finding iron).

*Note: In each biome there is a different type of vegetation or wildlife according to that biome, like the desert biome has cacti, the snowy biome has spruce trees, or the mushroom fields biome has mushrooms and Mooshrooms.

How many different types of biomes are there?

There are 12 in the overworld.
