Bamboo

Bamboo is a plant that grows in the jungle biomes in Minecraft, but not the Sparse jungle. As well as its fast ability to grow, it also is a great material for building, as it offers plenty of things to build and has good looks. Bamboo is a more yellow-ish shade of beige than most wood, which goes well with glass. A great modern house.

Like wood, bamboo is a versatile material to build with, and it has similar properties to wood. You can build many things with bamboo but they usually consist of simple materials: planks, blocks, sticks, which you can easily craft.

You can get bamboo "pieces" by chopping down bamboo towers, or the long things that grow out of the ground. The best way to harvest them is by breaking the 2nd piece from the ground. All the bamboo above that piece with fall down to the ground, for you to collect, leaving the first piece still in the ground. This will allow the bamboo to grow back again.

Other uses of bamboo:

• Scaffolding: You can use this to help you build your tall creations in Survival mode, helping you climb heights and get down safely.
• Boats: You can craft boats out of bamboo planks, like wood.
• Fuel: Sometimes the only thing you have is bamboo and that can be a helpful thing in case you need fuel to burn in your furnace. But be aware, bamboo burns through faster than wood and might need you having to go get more.
• Panda babies: Pandas breed using bamboo. If you find two adult pandas, you can feed both of them bamboo, when they are close enough together, and that will make a baby. You will also get experience points.
• Decorations: Bamboo looks natural and is a great medium to decorate your builds. Place it in flower pots, build unique stairs, and make your house look like it was from Asia!
